Grass in the wind!!!

Hi ya,

I'm in the process of trying to make some grass genlty move in the wind. I've used Fur for the grass and the dynamic attractor to get the movement from the Air field, the problem is that it seems fine for about 35, 40 frames ( the grass starts bending and moving nicely ) but then after roughly 50 frames the attractor goes mental, it starts flipping and twisting uncontrolably, what the hell is going on?? I've loaded a new scene up and it seems to work ok if i do a simple re-creation but I don't want to have to rebuild my entire scene!! Any help would be cool, thanks.

James.

'fraid I've not used Fur before. PaintFX grass works pretty well, though.

DAM! hehe... Mike beats me to the PFX grass postuser added image

Yup, try that, worked well for me in a recent client shot.

And the docs explain pretty clearly about adding dynamics to strokes too, which is an amazing thing because usually, you have to do a little bit more digging to get any relevant info out of them sometimesuser added image

Maybe setting up and animating the keys under roll or tip curl might help w/out air field.
