More experiments with lights. This one is way too dark, but I like the shadows.

WOW that monitor and book are WAY too heavy a mesh for me! HOw'd they get so bad? My comp would never be able to handle this scene. You're doing great fredrickson can't wait to see that final.

Ckyuk i would quit hitting refresh, and get to modeling more detail!!

This scene is not bad, my computer is just happy to get away from the .9 million triangle M1A1 I have been harassing it with the last month. I could make this scene quite alot lighter since all smooth parameters are still in history. But I wont. Thanks for all positive feedback.

Nice work guys. I like the render Fredricksson the only comment I would make is the light makes the surface of the monitor look mottled. I really like the way you make the quality of the sunlight come across though.

Keep going Ckyuk your model is going well.

ckyuk: I have no idea. If I win, I will figure something out. user added image

Witchy: if you mean the grainy shadows, I don't know exactly how to fix that, I will try, but right now I'm using alot of shadow rays and alot of final gathering and the suckers still persist

I can admit to that I think this scene is starting to look good, probably the best I've ever made. I hope to learn and improve, so that I might do that quote justice some day user added image
