A tax on farts to cut methane emissions??!! I'm sure that will benefit the nations farming industry. About the only thing going for them. I also fail to see how charging money is going to stop emissions.

Its not, its just a tax for the sake with "green" tagged onto it.

Why dont they shove pipes up their arses thats connected to a cylinder on the backs, that way when they come in for milking they can use it as fuel or to provide heating for homes?

Methane is actually going to be worth lots of money when petrol runs out. People are thinking about going to the bottom of the ocean to retrieve methane for fuel. Charging tax as an incentive to cut back on methane production would be silly... What do you want us to do? Walk to the shops?
