Jack Stardragon : Tweetytunes

Dam it - I have firefly stuck in my head now so its going to be a rebel type gun slinger sci-fi style. (cowboy with future gun and gadgets).

His name is "Jack Stardragon" (so cool - what a name) and he`s a bounty hunter with a heart. Doing anything for the ladies gets him into some tuff fights but the rewards are always worth. With each bounty it brings him closer to the man who killed his sister. Benton Savage

Main features will be:

1) A long Jacket and cowboy type hat (hides hair whoo hoo)
2) A long future gun (shotgun/riffle type thing)
3) Other back up weapons
4) Very strong looking jaw (hes a hard man)
5) Hand cuffs
6) A stern looking face but also good enuff for the ladies

I`m thinking a cross between Gambit, most heros in westerns, han solo, main guy from farscape (Crichton is it) and marcus from gears of war.

It days like this i wish I could draw.

Also just came across this image

https://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0...fett_super.jpg

And think it looks cool for a final pose and look. (Thats what happens when you search bounty hunter in google - you get star-wars)

Dame it your right - you can tell I started from the eyes and built down - too much rushing.

No I cant stand the control system with zbrush I personally think it blows, why they have not put in a more user friend ui yet is beyond me.

I would use mudbox but me pc not up to spec and after losing £4000 on my lost new pc I dont have the money to upgrade yet.

There was a poll at siggraph this year about zbrushs both and 71% of users (not general people) said its the thing they want improvements to the most. I not asking them to get rid of it completely - there is too many users for that - just included a different setting for the people who hate it - as there is a lot of us

Cheers
Starting to feel like a one man race, but Im sure there will be some competition.

Got the ear done - was not going to make it because of the hat but then looking at reference for hats it quite clean I needed them.

I`m really happy with this head

nice work.
but the mesh seems stiff, like it has hard or sharp edges.
maybe give it a more organic feel?

keep it up.
cheers

Sharp edges ??? now Im lost I cant see any. The jaw is quite square but I was going for that.

Anyway upper body is almost done I think. Given up trying to get rid of all the tri`s as I lose the muscle flow too much. Going to make a tshirt out of it once I get on to the cloths.

He might mean the topology, some of the edge flow seems awkward. For me it seems pretty high poly for not having had a smooth.

your not dragging me into the low/high poly fight going on right now hehe.

Been thinking off different ideas for the small details of this character - some were just crap but a few I have been playing around in photoshop and going to develop further.

One such Idea is a tattoo on the characters hand.

https://www.ravage3d.com/images/hero/hero_2_2.jpg

I`m giving no expernation for why its there - there is a story in my head - but im not telling anyone. I like the idea that some details on this character make you think about him more (why he got it, what does it mean, was it just pretty or none of the above). I think adding things like this will give more character although will not effect the dynamic of the character in anyway.

Going to do some more little ideas like this in between modelling.
