i am pretty new to maya, i am getting into it pretty good and am building some good models and doing some alright animation, i am more of a designer tho.

as i am new i was wondering how you did your water effect was it using the maya fluid effect, or just using the water texture, or is it something totally different.

v.nice by the way user added image

you can use 2d compositing to get a really nice underwater fog effect. If yo uhave shake look in the tutorials there is some documentation about doing it there using a submarine which looks really cool.
