This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

best way to model mclaren f1 lm?

hey im modeling my second attempt at a car- a McLaren F1

and im wondering what would be the best way to do a car so curvy im having seriuos problems with nurbse and pollys

any suggestions?

here it is for all that dont know

ps sorry for the huge pic but i dont know how to scale it

If your struggeling with both nurbs and Pollys I would suggest doing a tutorial that goes over both (theres a BMW Z4 tutorial using nurbs available for free) and a theres lots of poly car modeling tutorials available to find your feet first before going on to tackle such a big project.

For me I would use polys, just thats because I suck at nurbs.

well nurbs an polys are he only way since wen u use sub d u edit in polys

i would personally use nurbs for this
i also would have a look at the bmw z4 tut on 3dtotal first

ok i looked at the z4 tutorial before and my problem with nurbs is there too picky when i tried this car with nurbs the top of the front ended up stickin out abou 1/2 an inch at the norm top view

but i figured out my problem with pollys and fixed it
