Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping

flickering problem in animations

When rendering animations using mental ray, I've been getting a flickering effect throughout my scenes. They are like blotches of soft shadows. This is very annoying and problematic. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

i'm assuming you're talking about the noise looking stuff on the walls...
you need to play around with your settings. it looks like you either don't have enough samples or your min and max values are inadequate..
