This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

I really like the variation you have given the skin texture reall cool, did you achieve that by smoothing the rgb values of the cool and warm colors?

Cheers Mastone,

The smoothing from the previous pictue to that one has been done by giving it a wash of the base colour over the top to blend them in.

Using the layers from the sculpt I've increased the depth of the wrinkels. The SSS type shader in Z brush was removing them a bit, going to have to create a displacement and a bump for maya to get better control over final image.

Cheers Lion,

The trick is to get it all together and better looking in maya!

Well got him back into Maya and set up a very simple control for his eyes to help in the final pose, using normal maps for this and going for a portrait shot.

Need to get onto the clothing texturing and then the lighting set up, nice simple 3 pointer maybe?? The lighting will be done pretty soon, might have a play tonight.
