Tapered square thread

What would be the best way to make a tapered square thread?

What I mean is a square section thread that is formed on the outside of a cone. (Plus the matching thread - on the inside of a cone - i.e., male and female threads).

Thanks, in advanceā€¦..

I would create a curve that follows the path of the cone and then make a poly cube and taper it to the profile of the thread. You can then extrude that shape along the curve using the "use curve" in the poly extrude option box.
