Skin tear and rigging

Hi Guys,

Im new to Maya and have been teaching myself for the past 2 months or so. Im up to the Rigging process (which im finding extremely difficult due to the fact there isnt much tutorials for dinos user added image)

Anywho as you can see in the attached pics these are my problems. When i move the leg i get skin tear on the body and when i go to open the mouth it warps and does not open as planned.

Any ideas?
