Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Surround Sound Project

Hi,
This is my first time posting, and my first real Maya model. I am doing this model for an animation later on. The floor, walls, etc. are just for this pic and not part of that animation. Any comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am very, very new to Maya and 3D apps in general (Bryce 5 is the only other one I have used).
Thanks!

Nice start. You might want to take another look at your lighting as you can't make out any detail on the stereo components and there's a hotspot on the backwall. Also, pay attention to proportion....like the headphone jack, the sony logo, and word "DVD" all seem too big.

Thanks NitroLiq, I'll work on keeping the proportions correct. As far as the lighting goes, I knew it wasn't that great when I did it, but I was in a rush and wanted to get this post so I could get some feedback. Thanks for your comments.
