node problem

Hi all,

I have a rather frustrating problem here...

For some reason that's beyond my scope, whenever I create an object, neither channel box or hypergraph show me the create node anymore.

Say I make a NURBS sphere, there is no makeNurbSphere node to be seen.

What is wrong here?

You propably have turned the construction history off. Can't access maya at the moment to check how to enable it again but it's one of the buttons in the statusbar...

Actually, that was one of the first things I've checked.

Nada.

By now, I have already kicked out the old userPrefs.mel, made a fresh start and everything seems to be fine now.

Seems that something had gone wrong with the old prefs file anyway, since I always got this annoying message in the script editor at startup: line xxx - value out of range.

I think I'll go back to blender... user added image

No really - because of lack of time (and talent) I had already considered selling Maya, but selling Maya is not allowed, so I'm stuck with it...

Lots of thanks anyway. user added image
