Okay, since SM is a place where we go to learn stuff, then I decided to post these 3 next images..

First the skeleton.

I used Mikes foot setup which is quite nice, tho I ran into some problems where Maya 5 did not act like Maya 4.5 where the skeleton doesn't lock the feet like in Mikes tutorial, but the solution was to turn of the FK/IK option in the skeleton menu.

In this image I have the low poly version of the model displayed.

I wrote two simple MEL scripts, one to toggle the low poly version and one to toggle the high poly version. it helps alot when posing / animating the character to switch to the low poly version.

And finally, here is the high res model turned on to view the pose.

Perhaps I gotta tell how I arranged it all:

The low poly model drives the highres model via CPS or the Smooth Proxy method.

The low poly model is bound to the skeleton, so any changes to the low poly model will automatically be applied to the high res model.

This also meens that its a very few vertices that has to be painted when painting weights on the skin, since everything is made on the low poly model.

The lower teeth is parented to the jaw bone, so I can move the jaw around freely, while maintaining any blendshapes that might be applied to the model (I havn't made any blends at this point tho).

Anyway I hope someone learns a little from this info.
