Smoke doesnt render why?

k, Im trying to make an explosion in my scene, no bomb explosion is complete without smoke. i created my smoking object and it plays fine and the smoke comes out but when i render theres no smoke! just nothing! any ideas as to why?

Maybe the smoke is a sprite and needs to be hardware rendered and then composited in another program.

woah.... ok so if i turn it to something other than sprite it should render?
