Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Scene description:
A fallen sky city crashed into a valley. Some of the city monuments and buildings survived, but left no one alive at its big impact.

How did they come upon this:
One big meteor hit their planet, followed by many smaller meteors hitting the floating cities, none of them could escape.

The planet itself is a weird planet which has a type of rock and mineral that it allows to float through some magical way. The floating cities have are built on top of those rocks but when the meteor hit the planet, it created an overwhelming world disaster which killed all life in on the ground, caused the planets energy to go in chaos and its support for the gravitational floating stuff ceased to exist. Basically, the big meteor just killed its grove so everyone got screwed.

The people living in this city also lost all their powers the minute the planet stopped giving its support rendering them powerless and their city and their people living in the sky were screwed.

Why were they living at the sky? Theyre species can only live at a certain height for a certain air oxygen whatever scientific level. The ground was too thick for them to breathe in, and space was too thin.

Very few survived, and those who did, went through a form of evolution and they adapted to the environment. They can still see the ruins.

Now:
The environment is sorta like a desert valley, looks dead.. no plant life on the surface.. Their solar system has 2 suns and the scene is gonna show it. Let me scan real quick.
