is it? hmmmm what about maya 6.5 for $40 to download or $90 for the full box.... hmm because at ebay its only 60... so i think the maya 7 might be pirated.

simply because of the lisence

Its all about purchasing the license. I'm not sure but I would assume you could purchase an existing license and transfer it to your name.

if you are going to buy maya, i suggest buy a legit copy. this way you get upgrade and tech support [althought the www.alias.com site is now gone... i dont know how they handle customer support now]
