Maya Tips and Tricks.

Here, use this thread to tell everyone the helpfull tips and tricks that you know about Maya.

Here are a few.

Grouping: Select an object, and hit Ctrl+g.
To find out which group an object is in, select the object, and hit the up arrow. If it is part of multiple groups, you can hit the up arrow again and again to see what groups its in.
If you want to select the highest group, and only have to click on one of the objects in the group, go to the General Tab, and select Hierarche. (two white boxes and a red one)

Thats you grouping tip for the day!

(Q) I want to select an isoparm, and then get a new curve that is not part of the original object.

(A) Select the Isoparm.
Goto Edit Curves -> Duplicate Surface Curves.
