nice progress joopson

I'd probably move the light out of shot (detracts your attention) but keep the backlight effect hitting the kid as it is

I agree tick, I was going to mention the same thing but you beat me to it. I also may I suggest turning down the picture grain a little bit, it's a little distracting.

yeah, I agree too. Are you using indigo?

it's hard to take an artistic license with unbiased renderers, but I'd experiment with different lighting setups to pop out the silhouette. I thought some light from the side would help but you may just need to reposition that light and get some rimlight from the back to emphasize that edge a little. I'm not sure. It looks better, but I don't think you've got the ideal setup quite yet.

keep going, man
(like I can talk... :headbang: hehe)

no, i use maxwell.

yeah, i realize my lighting setup isn't good, but i set out originally to get a realistic lighting setup, and if i was in the hallway with a little lamp on, i dont have rim light either, haha

ill keep working on it ^_^

Then again I would try different angles just to see.

They all look good, but I’m gonna go with 3. I thought you said you were going to texture the broom? user added image

BTW, just a Maxwell question, how long did it take to render each of these?

i did texture the broom, its just hard to tell...

anyway, i rendered one, and the others use "multilight" to change the intensity of each light. the first i did render for an hour or so.

so, 3?
