This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

yup its kratos this will NOT be lowpoly, this is just the base mesh, i plan on taking into mudbox and sculping the hell out of it

you're right,
while working on the front i accidently adjusted the verts on the back so thats why it's looking off, but i will fix them

This is some nice work you have here, but in general your anatomy, proportions need a fair bit of work!

Mostly proportions.

try google for anatomy charts, and generally study anatomy, and proportions.

his shoulders need a bit of work though - the chest and shoulder muscles need to be better defined / seperated and i think the arm needs to be moved up a bit.

by moved up do you mean, to more of a T pose position?

also your right the chest and shoulder do need to be better defined,

but hey it is my first anatomy study, and theres bound to be some mistakes:blush:

no, i just mean that they look like they are inserted into the shoulder a little too low - or at the very least the angle of the biceps needs to be changed - at the moment it looks like the arms are coming out of the ribcage. user added image

Hey jali, Its quite tough to find good referance pics for shoulder muscle definiton.. i mean those generic anatomy models have pissy little muscles.. i found a pic that might come in handy for you tho, so ill post it here for you... dont get the wrong idea or nothing, this pic might help you get some more non-linear shape to those muscles user added image i hope it helps dude user added image
