This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I kind of roughed this out in about two hours. I decided to help someone on the net make soldiers for a WWII game. it is 1500 tri's at this moment.

He looks a bit cartoonish in the proportions of the hands and legs/feet. If this is intentional, then all is well. He also looks a bit square around the chest area, try to make him less so. How many tri's are the meshsmoothed version now?

Triangulated he is 1718. I see what you mean about the hands but I am not quite sure what is making them look cartoonish.

And I am sorry I forgot the Vodka Akai.

Update

Here is a current update, my first real attempt at texturing a character body. I used Painter to create the textures. Suggestions and Criticism are very welcome
