Default need help in getting a playblast to render shaded

I have trouble in getting a playblast to render in shaded. The camera view I 've picked to playblast is in shaded mode but it still renders a wireframe playblast. I've tried playblasts in several of my files and it works in shaded and others it does not. The tell tale sign is in a scene when I scrub on the timeline the shaded window stays in shaded mode throughout the scrub then the playbasts are in shaded.... but when a shaded view is being scrubbed on the timeline and drops to a wire frame mode during the scrub the playblasts are in wire frame mode. What is the limitation? Poly count? Do I need a better graphics cards. Help!
