Soft Mod Problem

Hi guys,

I am currently working on the model of a human head, and I used the soft mod tool to sculpt the hair. I was well into texturing the model when I closed Maya and re-opened the file. When I did, the vertices that made up his hair had moved back to a position that looked like the same position they would be in if the soft mod was deleted. However, the green "S" was still there, it just appeared as though it had no effect on the model.

Can anyone diagnose my problem? Is it possible that I somehow turned off the effects of the soft mod?

Thanks,
Frank

It's possible. Take a look at the envelope attribute.

Also, soft selection (if you have it) has deprecated the soft mod tool.
