Yeah i just recieved about 15 emails, all from spammers... i dont really care about it since theres nothing really to do at 1:01am in the morning lol but some people might get sick and fustrated over it ..

I agree with chris, put a spam/form filter soo that it just stuffs them up... if any of the mods dont know how to put one in just private messege me and we can talk, marlon

--UPDATE--
It appears to be from the same IP/person. So we are getting admin to have a look at getting the board updated to close the loop hole. I think personally it's a bot as it's hitting every thread in every forum.

We're on it but as it's the xmas vacations it's a bit slow. Sorry guys, do your best to ignore it or report the posts if you want. Believe me it's annoying the mods just as much as we are getting loads of "reported post" mails etc to our mailboxes and goig through and deleting what we can.

Anything the SM MODS & ADMINS can do is appreciated, the site is great and we need have this stopped. I think because of the holidays we are seeing the SPAM at its worst.

like everyone else i believe it's annoying, but i've gotta admit i find it a little funny that people would actually click the links to see where they lead. if you know it's spam/porn related, why bother? there's no such thing as helpful or beneficial spam, that's why it's considered unsolicited or unwarranted... there's the possibility that clicking the links sends information showing that the some of traffic generated at those sites is partially due to people here actually clicking the links.

i followed one of the first ones cautiously, before it was obvious it was an all out attack.., until it invited me to drop some 'software' into my system so i could see the site. too bad it has made extra work for everone but suprisingly it eventually united a lot of peple too, fighting the common enemy and all that.., thats one good thing.

the strangest thing just happened, i got a post from 'PCs and Macs' i went there (hoping someone had at last come to my rescue) but the last person on there was me?? i looked at the name and it was one of those spammers..,Tertedbas, i am amazed he/she/whatever can do that, can actually send me/you.anyone off on a wild goose chase like that, wouldn't that take some very knowledgeable computer skills?? seems to be getting close and personal?? anyway, how can anyone get a kick out of that?? maybe they got angry and frustrated with maya, it happens to me sometimes user added image

It sounds like the site has been hit with a spambot, if you don't already you need to get a log script that will get the time / Date / and IP of where its coming from and have their ISP contacted to put a stop to it.
