object invisible on render !

I created 2 different chess pawns ... in 2 different scenes ...
I added the first pawn to a 3rd scenne (the scene with the chess board) by using copy/paste. Added hdri lightning and render with mental ray ! No problem what so ever !

I then added the second pawn in my 3rd scene next to the 1st pawn, added a black blinn paterial (same material as for the 1st pawn) and rendered with exactly same setting !

It doesn't appear at all in my final jpeg ! I dublicated the 2 pawns making 4 .... same thing ... the 1st pawn doubled while the 2nd still invisible !

any ideas !? really apreciate the help !user added image

can you show us a render, and possibly the settings of the black blinn?

I played a bit with it and foundb the problem !

I am rendering with mental ray ... and my object, when is covered with a single blin comes out perfect when rendering, but when adding a second blinn to some faces it becomes invisible when rendered !

any ideas why !?

Ummm I din't really know how to UV map but I managed !
Thing is that mental ray can't render 2 materials on the sam e object so I just separated the objects, adding a different blin to each of them !

Thanks for tring though !

Best wishes and have the best Christmas ever !!!!
