Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Thanks mate, I'm just glad it came out at all,
fingers and toes crossed the whole time and all that, lol!
Got another project on at the moment, but at some point after that I think I'm going to try out animating this, i learnt how to animate the explosions so would love to make this battle less static, just have to wait til I can dedicate a while to it.

Im blown away - fantastic job there mate.

My only complaint is the explosions - they all look the same, but apart from that very well done

Thanks Tweety, I am quite pleased with it!

The explosions were the last thing I added, managed to do 5 slightly different ones to use but as I used the same technique for each they probably do look quite similar.

It's the best thing I've done in 3d so far so will just keep studying and practicing! Second project done, many more to go!

Thanks Hammer,
It's easy to learn when you enjoy doing it so much, the time put in watching tutorials and reading books is just as fun for me as practicing so none of it seems a chore.
I'm pretty much sure I won't ever think of stopping working in 3d, it's too fun, too addictive and just too good all round!

I feel stupid now, lol.... I originally thought that those tentacles were connection pipes/tubes between the mother ship and the rest of the fleet.... doh!

But this is even better.... nice work, and nice final image!

Good luck! user added image

Thanks Mayaniac!
Much appreciated for the good words! I did wonder what you meant when you posted that reply saying about the pipes joining, but didn't want to ruin the surprise for you, lol!
