Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

comming along really nice.... once you add some better lighting it will really pull together..

Yes, I hope so. lighting, special effects, and partly texturinga are things that I must improve (in generally), and this little scene is nice place to practice.
But yeah, lighting is the thing to be improved. I might need some advice there, but later, first will come textures, then lighting (or both at the same time perhabs?)

That looks really good! user added image

If you wanna try out fluids check out learning-maya.com, they have some fluid tuts (click Dynamics in the menu and they're in the bottom of the list), haven't tried them though so I don't know if they're any good...

tnx for comments!

@ blomkaal:
I'll check it out. I defenetly need to learn fluids.

@ransick:
Well, looks like it is, heh.

Please, if any moderator is reading this thread, please delete those 2 posts.tnx.

I'll post some more screenies later, so please tell me what you don't like (maybe water) and how to improve it.

Another thing, I need to make a skybox for this scene. What do suggest (I mean how to do it)? I guess I one way would be by playing with particles and making clouds & stuff, but this is simple scene and I don't wanna complicate too much (for this there will be other scene). Maybe Terragen? If so, any good tut?
