I tried different angles and none of them seemed good enough. I'll post some pictures with the new background real soon and i'll be counting on your opinion user added image.

Thanks, but taking into account the long time it takes for me to model something and the fact that the wireframe usually ends up to be pretty messy i'd say i'm still a real beginner. But practice makes perfect, so here i am practicing user added image.

The following quick render gives a hint on the new background. Hope it will turn out ok. I'm off to texturing now.

Yes, it did only take a week, but i worked nearly 5 hours a day that week and the model wasn't that complex. I modeled some parts several times until i got it right. So that's why i say i'm still very very slow.

In the meantime here's a look at the outlet. I know it's not very smooth and that the textures could have used more work but it will be seen from pretty far away so i think this will do.

Now to texture the plug. user added image

Ok, chris, I noticed that your shados are all very hard. If you wanted to know how to fix this tell me, its real ez.

Nice work, the coffee machine is excellent, and even the plug thing is pretty good.

keep it up!

Thanks Matt. I know that the shadows are really hard right now, but these were just test renders. I kept all the setting as low as possible to speed up rendering time. (It also has almost no anti-aliasing). I just about finished adding textures. Now it's rendering time.

Thanks again Matt user added image, just doing my job. Here's a look at the materials i used. Some of them are noticeable only in reflections/refractions as i used some planes to simulate the environment.
