Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping

How to stop an object receiving shadows

Hi everyone,

How do I stop an object from receiving shadows? I know how to stop a light from causing shadows but not how to stop just one object in the scene from receiving them.

Thanks in advance!
