Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

re walk test

Hi Kurt,

Seems good so far.

I would be keen to see the playblast with a longer lens (ie. 50mm) as the perspective in this playblast (small lens) distorts the percieved motion (depth wise). Also a side on view would be great also (orthographic please).

anyways, lookin great but,

a question:

What is the person/character feeling/thinking while he is walking?
This may help you decide how to apply the 'weight' in the walk.

Hi Jim, yep looking good,

a little comment:

I think you need more of a bouncy feel around the knees and ankles as he looks a little stiff like the legs dont relax enough, also maybe add a slight "side to side" motion on the shoulders.

Hope this helps a little.
