Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

My new project..

Hi guys.. although iv used maya before i havent really gone deep into it so thought i would try a project now that i have some time to spare... i followed the tribal warrior tute to get back into using the basic tools although im aiming to go a little more detailed . I want to have a cartoony style character but with a slightly more realistic look. I hope to rig and animate him (an evil Clown) and have already tried blend shapes so hoping to maybe do a funny little animation short in the end.. well thats the plan anyway. Heres where i am at on the modelling.. crits very welcome and any advice certainly appreciated.. bear in mind the head size is purposeful for the cartoony look user added image .. areas i think i might be needing to adjust is eye area as they look too bland and yea i have to blend forward part of ear better . thankyou .

Oh an thats the old head on the full body pic .. iv totally reworked in top pics .

Love the boots - can never get mine looking good, and great work on the other textures. Can help think alittle too many polys in the face but the final look is there so they might be needed.

Thx tweety, i think your right with the polys .. , maybe i could tweak it so theres less and will be easier to blend shape n stuff afterwards.

Nice. I like texturing so far. Would be cool to see more modeled detail in the shoes, especially as you have such a high polycount in the face.

The base expression is good, but I think you can achieve the same expression with less polys and make it easier to work with when it comes to animating.

"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."
