This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

So this is where im at right now.

Not too, bad. Had a bit of trouble seeing what the detial was on the retence pictures so I had to make up a teeny little bit. Hopefully people won't notice or mind that much.

My major problem is that is has take this long to do this little bit and although this is probably the most dence (as far as detial goes) this sort of thing is going to have to be done over the whole thing.

Just see how it goes I guess.

Too much coffee and not enought food.

My girlfriend wants me some of the day tommorow so might be a bit slow, who knows.

I was thinking of a SUPER Star Destroyer, but you would have to be nuts.

Very Nice progress. I would'nt have the patience to do a model with that level of detail. It's good to see you have the patience for it. It's really paing off!

The way I have do it is fairly simple. Just look at the reference, make the little detial thing and then move.scale and put into place. So it's not all one piece of geo, be a nightmere to texture but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

looking really good mate. i dont think that the geo will be to much of a problem its just the amount of detail and not becoming overwelmed with it all.but if u carry on like u have started should come out great.

Progress has been a little slow of late cos I have had other things to do, namely chase company's up about my showreel and boring stuff like that but I will show you what I have done.

Front shot of the bridge, I think it's finished now so I can move on to another section. Just need to do the sensor globe.
