Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

thanks man .... not much of an update but i remodeled the letters on the trunk/boot and im going with the cl65 instead of the cl60 no particular reason it basically the same car just the the cl65 has 739hp 959lb-ft.

whats going people well this is more of a verbal update im working on the interior of this car and also fixing a few edges so hopefully i would be able to post some renders on the weekend

im still working on the interior and just to keep this thread updated heres a test render, the reflections suck and need refinement and also i was also practicing with the mia material (aka arch&design shader in max) so everything here except for the stage floor is mia shader. crits and comments are welcome.

man, this is pretty slick

how do you guys make the lights in those cars? is it geometry, or bumpmaps?

can you explain a little, about the breake lights and head lights?

well the lights are modeled and everthing inside them i think i posted some wires somewhere in this thread, as for texturing i just use the dielectric materials and set the in and out colour to red or orange or leave it as is. hopefully that was clear if not dont hesitate to ask more

The car looks really good. I like the color you chose for the brake pads and the materials are top notch as usual.
