Tweety, this is looking great. I have not been on this site for a long, long, time and it was great to see the same ppl from years ago. I saw your comparison between work from 5 yrs ago and now, that brought back some memories.

great work.

Hello everyone.

------ Off topic --------
Before we start, is there possibility to change display size of attached images ?
Or at least format them so they are shown vertical not horizontal like now?
------------------------

Yeah. I barely survived my Cain some time ago. Still haven't finished it because I still haven't recovered fully . I'm slowly (VERY slowly) starting to think about coming back to finish it.

I thought that I come and share couple of my pictures since I'm here.
As a reference I used all the images I could find. I tried to be true as close as I could to the big Cain model that they used in movie, for example in the shot where Cain and Robocop fell from building and they lay together in the basement.
In this shot big cain model was used it is a lot more detailed than the small figures that where used for animation so for example fingers looks different and have a little more rounded corners than small figure.

I see you made the same mistake as most daredevils out there and made arm cylinders the same size. Look at the picture, do you see the diference?

This
shot shows it even better.
I hope I didn't brake you down. You don't have to start from scratch .

Here are couple older shots, they show close-up's of some other parts:

Here is shot of the cylinders before I remade them so they would not be the same size :

I also started to rig it a little, trying to automate it as much as I could so I don't have to rotate each hinge myself.
In this video, after hexapod rig, there is example of right side hands rig and also main body hydraulics.

And here are shots of this model in its current state:

Yerrrr my PC is finally back to a almost fully running order -although I do need a new GCard going to take it slow for now with the upgrades.

Started back on this guy - spent a lot of time looking where I was and tweaking some bits and bobs and then started on the chest piece. Hoping to finish this off (modelling wise) quite quickly.

Small update but I think I finally got the shape of the plate the way I want it - Next up the side panels at the front and then some of the cables.

Making head way on the rear of him now - thinking there is not a lot of modelling left to do on this guy.

Ok started over on the upper body panels as I just did not like the first pass - also did a lot of clean up in the scene - mostly normals from copying and flipping, but I think its time to re visit the head now.
