Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Moving cluster handles with an object?

Hi,

I've got a problem moving the cluster handles with the object I've created. The cluster control the eyelid's blinking. Two are selected in the first image to show where there pivots are.

The second shows what happens when I select the mesh and all the clusters, and move them. The vertices belonging to the cluster deform.

I've tried parenting them to a mesh, or a locator, and grouping them with the mesh.

The only way I can move the man and have the clusters work is to move him, and leave the clusters; although they are left behind (and there pivot points are too), they still seem to work. This isn't really practical though.

Does anyone know what to do here?

thanks

gubar
