Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

July/Aug - normal - LRSDscout

my concept sketches and a render of the alien. I call them "Green Trash" because they are aliens that live in trailer parks. I am eventually going to turn it into an animated short and am working on a script as a personal project.

The rendered alien, complete with jeans that don't fit and a wife-beater shirt.

The image looks awesome. I don't think it fits into the fear and loathing category at all, but nice modeling and rendering.

You see, the Alien is loathing the repairs he must do on his crashed ship and he fears he may never get off the planet...

it fits the category just as much as say... an elephant standing on a rock? I'm surprised you, of all entries, would criticize someone about not fitting the category.

It is also set in a similar area to the film "fear and loathing in las vegas" -a psychedelic desert with a washed out sun.
