I'm not going to post this in the final images forum as there's still a TON I want to do with this, but time and my move and my new job just didn't let me do too much. I tweaked her skin tones and her face a little and give her some better lighting, but overall she's missing a lot... haven't touched her gun or coat and still have some ugly shadows, but oh well... here's how it's going to be for the book. Hopefully I can finish her up and allow an updated texture to be downloaded from my site for those who buy the book. user added image

Man these are nuts. I can't believe you did it all in one day. Like someone said, it would take me months! I've been putting off buying that first book, but I'm going to have to get it soon. user added image
Oh yeah I like the new jane's face better than the one with a lot of make up. user added image

well, getting it done in 24 hours and getting it done in 1 day are two different things. lol user added image Probably spent a good three days modeling and three days texturing, but total time was about 24 hrs. Plus another two for my tweaks since then user added image

Hope you get the books and enjoy them!

I'd go for a more realistic looking revolver . . . that one looks kind of funky . .

already got it bookmarked user added image but you can't preorder it from there mike user added image - I had some gift vouchers for amazon but only for the .co.uk site (wierd...)

you'd also think they (amazon) would disable the 'used' section/links till the book is actually out user added image

Oh, I see, yeah they don't have a preorder button there. Weird.

Thanks for all the comments, guys. user added image I hope you all like the book when it comes out. I'll post animations and renders from the book projects at my site when it comes out too.

just as an idea for any future books mike:
how about a separate part on your website that requires a login/key that is stored on the book's CD? Then if there are any updates to techniques/files in the book then people could log in and update their stuff? Or maybe access to a questions forum where you can answer questions on sections of the book?

I know it brings in a whole load of questions/issues but its just an idea user added image
