Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Here's a shot of my first try at texturing! user added image

The texture isn't completed yet, it's just very basic so far, I'll be adding some more detail, and hopefully som bump- and specularity maps... Also, the UV layout is done from the lowpoly mesh, so there's lots of tweaking for those long, lonesome nights... user added image

It's not really just a Max site... The site is 3D in general, they also have Maya tutorials and general project overview tutorials. But the Joan of Arc tut is indeed a Max tut.

Otherwis... nice progress... model looks very nice user added image

WOW DUDE! If you get to the skin texturing on that tutorial, use the default granite texture. Its basically the same thing. Keep up the good work!
