This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

I`m glad the villain one is going down well as it was my fav.

Is anyone going to start that poll - r we allowed to do this sort of thing here - don`t want to step on anyone's toes.

Who would judge it as the whole voting thing does not work

I don't see anything wrong with standard members starting a community challenge here at SM. The mods would have said something about it all ready.

A poll would be great for selecting Judges.

I'll set up the poll tomorrow morning in the members lounge, going to use the same list as I put up in the previous post for everyone to vote on.

Think for the final judging, a poll would be pretty good with a mod having the final decistion if theres a tie or something (or the voting goes mental as it did once with a lot of people joining and thenvoting then never coming back.....)

I dont think it will be stepping on toes, think that a mod or David would have said something by now (and they could still say something in the poll.

As there's been no challenges and this forum's not being used why not just hold it in here and leave the battle arena for 1 on 1's? It is going to be an open community challenge after all.

You could also be pedantic and say that this thread should be in the members lounge.......

I`ll just be glad for the challenge to be honest.

And i think it should be here aswell. It would be nice if the mods could place this comp on the front page for us (like they did before for the other comps), but no biggee if they don`t.

The challenges were the only reason I came here to start and I have missed them so.

Yeah, the battle arena is best for 1 on 1 challenges as I don't see but 1 on 1 challenges happening there.

Getting a MOD involved would be great.

I remember that poll for the sclulpture challenge where a certain member ( cant remember his name ) had people registering to vote for him and then never come back. It was good to see that arran won that challenge, the sculpture came out great.

hey, guys, sorry for no challenge. I've been out of work and unable to provide any kind of prize, so I've not been doing it. If you guys are fine with going sans-prizes, I can start one this weekend.

I don't think the prizes are that big of a deal Mike, some people just want to have the competition, gives them the ambition and motivation to complete a project due to deadlines.

Sorry to hear that you're out of work, I wish you luck in finding some soon.... stupid economy :headbang: :angery: :headbang: :angery:

Mike, your out of work, no way!? I thought you moved to Seattle for a better job?

As for a prizeless challenge, I have no problem with that. Would be great to see you start a new challenge this weekend.
