Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Vlad

A good character. I feel you should add a bit more 'character' to the hands. A few knuckle bumps here and there would do the trick
https://disney.go.com/disneypictures/...ille/main.html
Check out the character of Ego in the wall paper section. Look at the thumb in particular, perhaps a mild version of these type of hands. I would also make the feet/shoes bigger (not too much though) and give them some more shape, more visual interest, not necessarily clown sized shoes but something along those lines. It will also help balance him out a bit more because of the larger head.

Just some thoughts for you to either chew on or spit back at me LOL

cheers

awesome
really sweet character to that face, Vlad
I agree that, at least from this angle, the hands don't yet do it justice

i tweaked some of the things pointed out .
im afraid the fingers wont be too apparent unless its posed or animated.

i want the face to be the most realistic thing there, and the rest to be cartoony as possible. than hands dont have fingers nails etc. this is for the sake of rigging.

and wireframes. pretty straight forward modeling.

What an awesome character. So much life. I can't tell if he's sleep deprived or going insane, and I think that is what gives a lot of the charm and interest. The blend between realistic and cartoon works beautifully and the colours just plain rocks. Three thumbs up.

Looks good, it kinda reminds me of the characters from the movie monster house.

ha ha - excellent character vlad! I really like the face and his eyes. the back of the head looks a bit... big, but that might be the style your going for. Are you going to do any more work on the hair - just cause I haven't done any hair yet and was wondering if it was going to be textured?

i think the hair will stay that way.
because it helps keep him more stylized.
i think if i go for like monster house hair, it might not fit the type of animations i want to do him.
