Rigging

hey this is my first time to rig a character and I was wonder a couple of things:

1. If my model is polygonal, then should I smooth it before I rig it?

2. If I want to add cloth later, then do I need to do that before I rig?

3. To texture it do I need to uv map it before rigging it?

Thank you.

1) No. You can smooth it after. It's easier to rig the lower poly version.
2) Don't know. Don't mess with cloth. user added image
3) I usually UV map before rigging, so that you can delete history without deleting the rigging in the process.
