Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Keep up the great work

i can't help but wonder why you don't do your own space battle scene rather than just copy star wars. are you doing it to learn how to animate or to try to copy the effects?

thanks guys
i decided to go with star wars because it was a seminal film for my era that i cant tire of, i am a serial unfinisher when a project gets difficult, but because star wars is a finished product all the clues are already there textures , lighting, timings etc so i am learning a lot, still takes a while to put the shots together but i dont have to battle with the question of wether or not the entire project is rubish when i get it wrong so it takes the pressure off.

thanks for the crits always welcome, and i have gone back to stuff cause of what people have suggested which is what its all about right?

Are you in a job/going to get a job/having a job in the future within the 3d industry?

EDIT: Do use motion-paths for the ships, or do you keyframe them?

cheers

Dont think so, i am a water treatment manager with a mortgage to pay, i used to have dreams, but life interviened!!

The ships i tend to animate manualy cause motion paths can give twitches, for me anyway, but all the lasers are paths.

I just set 3 or 4 positions then go to the curves
