Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Nice truck you have there, Nirsul. Do you plan to add an interior and perhaps a companey name on the side? I wish I could model something like that.....

thanks

it wasn't so difficult to do -
I did most of the frame and the back part with polygons and the cabin and wheels were made of NURBS.

the interior is probably a muc more difficult part but I think I will try.

a comapny logo will come , maybe .user added image user added image

Updated

Some details added:

driver wheel
the front part (I dont know how to name this...)
the lights and horns on the roof and modified the little limit-markers (?) - those sticks with a red circle

still needed:

inside roof with a cabin light
maybe a triangular light on the roof
seats

any ideas ?

Thanks Kevin

The bumper is made that way as I am one of these guys who get aroused (:o :o :o ) when they see a firetruck and the american firetrucks have this kind of big chrome plated bumpers.

There are some details to be added this weekend.

BTW - I tried uploading images to the gallery and it gave me an error message (about 4 weeks ago)

BTW#2: Are there any new tutorials on the way ???

you should make one of those things that hang from the roof, so that when the driver pulls on it, it makes the airhorn go!!

i like the last update - finally the FORD is gone. the seats are a bit too big in my opinion - looks like a toy truck and not a thing that is more than 2 yards wide ...

and looking forward to see it textured - or you plan to leave the paint as is?

You didn't like the FORD ???????
- I was planning on putiing their logo (or maybe another firm)

regarding textures:
also, I am not too fluent (yet...) with the shaders - I still have my doubts when trying to use the layered shaders to put labels.

What kind of textures would you use - I used the leather shader for the seats BTW.
