Jay - Summer Challenge

Hey Guys

This one really appealed and as Ive never entered one of these before...and well I couldnt resist. Im not overly sure if I'll finish because of other 3d commitments, but hey its a good bit of fun to try.

Anyways Im going for the Pirates Of the Carribean Style type Pirate, because its so damn appealing too... Im using Maya and of course ZBrush 3.....

Cheers
Jay

Hey Steve

Well In the last hours or so Ive really be playing with the form around the jaw, so it resembles the mouth of a fish called a Grouper. But now Ive just kick into gear, banged up the polycount to nearly 2million and am looking at the skin detail. the thing I love is that ZB will keep this detail even if I go back down to 7k polys

Some guy: Just a pencil sketch, well red biro ink actually, but itsa real scribble. If I remember I'll scan it tomorrow and post it up

Anyways have a peak

Cheers
Jay

the detail is crazy. Will all that detail transfer over to maya alright? Or will you have to do some poly reduction in order to import it?
