Great topic !!

Since the baby is due to arrive sometime VERY soon, I might not be able to finish stuff, but I will definately give it a go !

Good luck to all.

Hey, dont forget guys! This is NOT restrained to devils with horns on their heads and red. Make it immagintive, real long teeth, muscular body, in some weird shape, more than 2 legs, deforities etc. Javelins through the arm etc. You can also get ideas from games such as Diablo, or Diablo 2. Cya.

Hi,

I have some questions regarding the challenge and content posting on Simplymaya... user added image

howmuch nakedness may there be?

how detailed may a woman sculpture be down there in the "Bush"-region, if the model is going to be showed?
(not in pornograpic way... however I would like to make so many details as possible, and ofcause as I'm allowed to)

may I e.g. find someone to draw me "The Devils Stepmother" which I then can use as a blueprint/reference picture to model after? (my 2d drawning skills sux)

If you wish to contain naked objects in your scene then you have to state that in your title, i will do this for you once i see a naked image appear. For the detail in the crotch area, I dont think its really needed for this challenge.. if you want to add detail, you can do that after the competition.

If you can find someone to draw a refrence for you, you HAVE to give credit to that person. Same with using refrences from the web, give them credit! The only reason this is allowed is the challenge is based around how well you are in "Maya" and not in art all around. user added image.

BTW, why would you want to add detail to the crotch of a old lady? lol. user added image.

Hey Cyrius, if you model a large scene, along with your picture.. it definately helps! In no way is it only the main object, but based on the whole composition itself. Just make sure you also show the building process of your scene.

Hi Matt,

it is not so much, that it/she would have to have a crotch... but for me a woman without a crotch, is like a car without wheels, and a plane without wings...

I don't even know if I can make it... but I just wanted to know how much I was allowed and had permission to... I have selfcensored one of the drawings... but I like details, and would like to make it as realistic as possible... and if it got a crotch and I wasn't allowed to... I would properly find it a bit annoying to find out how to remove it again... user added image

but for the Model "The Devils Stepmother"... I think she in the end will be somekind of furball if I can make it, as I have pictured it in my head... but before she get's any fur she practical will be naked I think... I don't know yet... I have an Idea and will try to ask someone to draw me "The Devils Stepmom"... then they can decide what the 2d startpoint may be of the 3d model... user added image

btw. are boobs considered nude notified material? because then it/she is nude at the moment...

regards

LOL, a furball with a vagina.. hmm. Anyways, yea ok.. if you are that keen on even making your models have a crotch.. then go for it! Just if it gets too graphical then you can just put a box over it. Ok, cya user added image
