Skin Weight Issues

Hey guys!

I'm really new to Maya and Technical Art in general. I've rigged my model (to the best of my newbie ability) and am onto Skin Weighting now. I'm having some real issues here and could use some advice! I'm guessing some Images of the problem areas would be easier to understand:

Some really weird deformation on the arm here

Front of the mesh is fine when rotated, but the back deforms inwards?

The leg breaks apart entirely.

Like I said, I'm really new to this, so any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. If it's easier to understand the problems I'm currently having, here's a link to the current mesh: https://www.sendspace.com/file/f8ps4n

Thanks for reading!
