never heard of blitz3D before (is it a game engine?) or MeshLab
BUT
it sounds like somewhere in the process you've exported an obj file...
obj files only hold the basics, that is... where the verts are in space, what their UV coordinates are, and what verts they are connected to
(i think they know what textures they have, but i've never seen this an obj file import with a texture before)
once you've saved out an obj you've lost EVERYTHING except those atomic elements
objs don't know anything about animation, or weights, or anything that might not be interpreted by another 3D app
if blitz3D only reads 3ds files then you'll need to export your animation as a 3ds file.
if you need it, there is a piece of free software that's apart of XSI called crosswalk, which converts between maya, xsi, and max (haven't used it for a long time, so in stand alone mode, so i wont be able to offer you anything other than knowing it exists)
