Stairs in Maya

Hi im new to Using Maya and i watched this video on how to make a bounceing ball.

And if you watched the video could u tell me how to get the stairs eg. do u have to animate them your self if so how or is there another way to import the stairs ?

You can't just create them yourself? They're just simple cubes.

This is actually pretty easy. You create the one stair, then do a duplication (control-D) and duplicate them according to how many and how steep you want them. You can even do a spiral staircase (that is usually the first example they give you in a book).

Then, just make the handrails and such. Practice making stairs up to like a beach house for your first try.
