Integrating 3D into 2D real

I made a few attempts to integrate 3D object into 2D still picture ... tell me what do you think.
I've just started to learn myself of color and lightning

Looks good, but are the shadows looks off compared to the shadows of the rest of the backplate.

Maybe blurring this hard edge shadow will work out like in my second picture i posted ...

Again the shadows dont fit correctly, have a look at the other people there and the shadows they cast.

yeah deffinately youre shadows are to black and dark for such an overcast day they should be more transparent also i think in the top image the shadows may be going in the wrong direction its hard to tell considering theirs not to many clear shadows in the scene for reference

Is there any indirect illumination in the second pic? He seems unaffected by the environment. His shadow is much too defined and I think it's at the wrong angle, look at the shadow of the shopping cart, like its from a cloudy midday sky.
