OK what you do is you first select the high poly version, the model with all of the details, which you model off of the low poly one. Then you go to transfer surface information. And you wait... a long time.
Oh, but you have to have it UV mapped already!!!

Anyway I almost finished the texture of the body. I Hand painted the upper body... takes a lot less then to photo source it.

-Attach as color channel
-preserve shading network
-cg preview thing

You know, I have no clue. I am not normal mapping this one. I have never normal mapped before, as I try to stay away from game models and instead stick to high poly inorganic models, so sorry, i have no clue. can you post the model of yours for the competition though????
