Very nice indeed. I really like the head. I'd be grateful for any tips you can offer on my model btw as yours is quality stuff.

Hi Witchy,

I like your model, mostly it's a matter of aestetics as to
weather you are happy are not with it.

I'll try to give a few pointers on your thread.

Btw, glad you like the work so far, I'm itching to start
texturing.

Update

Well, I've had a few forced days off now, user added image
but finally got down to a bit of texturing, hurrahh.

Enjoying it but I could spend forever on this, as I love painting.
Ah well, running out of time and got to speed things up now
as I really wanted to do three characters.

As usual all comments/ crits are more than welcome.
Thanks all user added image

Really sweet textures man, i just started so i dont really know how to do that stuff yet. You might wanna work on the eye texture a little, it looks a bit akward. Very cool tho, i'll be waiting to see the rest!

Hey, Nice job! Keep it up!

FYI, when you do stuff like pony tails and such, you'll want them to be pretty straight out, so you're easily able to place a string of bones through them to then animate it moving while the character moves, but don't worry about that unless you plan on rigging him, which isn't necessarily required, but would be cool. user added image

Very nice paint job! Can't wait to see the rest. I would really try to get some colour concepts from the concept drawing if i were doing this one, i really like how you captured the feel so far.

Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated user added image

Drozador, you're right, the eyes still need some work, I'm
non too happy with them yet.

mtmckinley, thanks for pointing out the pony tail. In my haste to
model this I completely forgot about the rigging, and I am
intending to rig it so will have to rectify that. Thanks user added image

HappyLemon, cheers, glad you like it so far.

Vectorman, thanks again. I am actually using a copy of the
concept sketch in my document for a colour palette, but I've
a tendency to get a little carried away while painting, I may
adjust some of the hues later.

I'm just getting into using an old wacom ultrapad on my old mac
for the texturing, taking a little getting used to, but as I'm
a ex airbrush artist (too little time for it now) it's the
closest thing to getting back into my old skills. Especially
as I seem to have been covering the technicalities of
3D for too long now.

That's very nice indeed! You might think about making the pony tail a little different colour from the bone texture as a contrast might work. But that's great - you can see your art skills shining along in that! Super.

Cheers Witchy user added image

Realy enjoying this challenge.
About time I started using a graphics tablet.
Trying not to rush too much though. I'm hoping to
get on with another character soon, so hopefully
I'm going to try and finnish texturing tonight
(probably won't though) user added image

Looking good dude. I really like the texture for this one. I can just imagine how long it would take to map out the uv's for this guy. How about a pic from behind or perhaps a good side view of the entire model. I'd like to see what he looks like with his cape.
